habitat for humanity of charlotte: Youth participationYouth - 5 to 15 years old Building on Youth is an exciting opportunity for young people aged 5 to 15 to be involved in helping families in need of a decent, affordable place to live. The Building on Youth program is designed to offer a way for youngsters to make a difference even though construction activities are limited to those 16 years and older. On-Site Volunteering
Youth - 16 and aboveNon Construction Activities- Many of the Building on Youth activities are enjoyable for people of all ages. Habitat ReStore - 16 & 17 year-olds can volunteer with a release of liability form signed by a parent or guardian. Please check out Habitat ReStore website for more information. Construction Activities for Individuals Individuals can participate in construction activities by checking our web site (look on the tool bar on the left) each week and seeing where we are working. Please keep the following in mind.
Construction Activities for Youth Groups Explore our information on how your group can participate. Please note that this is only available for kids who are 16 and older and we need an adult contact for each group and high school age groups need a 1 adult to 4 youths ratio! We have found that wall framing, drywall and painting are the best match for youth groups. |
