CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION FOR GROUPS

Thank you for your interest in having your group volunteer at Habitat Charlotte!

Having your group volunteer at Habitat is an exciting event that encourages team building and allows your group to make a difference!

Your first step is to download and complete our Group Volunteer Application and Instructions.  We'll then forward you any available dates in the current quarter and add you to our e-mail list to receive dates in future quarters. 

Please note that Saturdays are currently full through September. A few week-day opportunities in July and August remain.  

Important Information for Groups

• To provide your group a quality and safe volunteer experience, we limit the number of volunteers we accept for each workday and task. This number will be listed beside the date and task on the list we send to you with dates available.  
• Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 
• Normally our work day is 8am-4pm, but in July and August, we work from 7am-12:30pm to take advantage of the coolest part of the day.
• Although we build homes year-round, many of our Adopt-A-Home house sponsor groups prefer to build during spring and fall. Because we value both the quality of the homes and the volunteer experience, we must limit the number of non-sponsored homes during those times. In our moderate Charlotte climate we find that most winter days are quite comfortable for building with physical activity keeping folks warm.  January, February, July and August are months with more availability enabling us to accomodate groups larger than 10-15.
