About women build: women

Habitat Charlotte’s Women Build is an annual program in which women volunteers construct an entire Habitat home. Since building the nation’s first all women house in 1991, Habitat Charlotte has built 9 more "all women” houses. This year we are building one more "all women" house, moving an 11th family into a decent, affordable home. The Women Build project empowers women to participate in Habitat for Humanity’s work by teaching new skills in a non-competitive, inclusive environment of cooperation, partnership and fun.

Women No matter what experience you bring to the table, we want you to join us for our next Women Build Project. To be on our email list and learn more about the build sign up for Women Build Email List at the top of the page.

Please note that the Women Build is only made possible through the efforts of the women involved. Therefore a donation is requested from participants.

Questions about donations can be directed to Linda Blum at lblum@habitatcharlotte.org. If you have a question about your volunteer application please contact Beth Van Gorp at bvangorp@habitatcharlotte.org.
