Building on Faith Information for Sponsor Groups

Group Devotions each morning at 7:45am
between September 8th - 15th

Where is the project going to be located?  We are currently planning to build 11 homes - 4 all in a row in Lincoln Heights (off of Beatties Ford Road, near LaSalle) and 7 clustered together in Oakview Terrace (off of the Brookshire Freeway - just east of I-85). 

House Leader & Project Leader Meetings? Please plan to attend either of these meetings to ensure that we're all on the same page for the project.

What about parking? 
The Assignments and Park Page has instructions for parking.  Please pass along these to your volunteers so that we can keep the areas in front of the homes free for deliveries, sub-contractors and emergency vehicles.   Most days the House Leaders will be able to park in front of the home (on the days sub-contractors are working you will probably be asked to move your vehicle.)  Those delivering meals can also drop off food. 

When will the lot and homeowner pairings be announced? 
The Assignments and Park Page has the lot and family pairings.  I'll be emailing the project leader information about your family.    Please wait until after August 1st to contact the family.  Please feel free to contact Nancy Pugh, Family Programs Coordinator, at 704-716-7074 or npugh@habitatcharlotte.org if you have questions about the family.

Lunches?  Habitat is providing lunch on Saturday, September 8th and Saturday, September 15th.  Please let Beth know if you wish to provide your own lunches on those days.

Adopt-A-Home Planning Manual?  Our Adopt-A-Home Planning manual will help your group planning your project.  Click here for a version in microsoft word. 

Construction Manual?  We have a detailed construction manual to give each sponsor which we plan to hand out at the House and Project Leader meetings.    Please contact Beth to receive information about receiving chapters electronically for leaders to utilize.

T-shirts? At this point we aren't planning to have a special build t-shirts.  If you would like to print your own shirts please contact Beth if you need a copy of our logo and the usage guidelines.  If your group would like to design and print a shirt, we have gotten great rates from Kurt Rawald at Gaston Screen Printing at 704-399-0459.

In Kind items including Licsensed Electricians,Plumbers,HVAC contractors, and Drywall Finishers. Use our inkind form to let our Construction Superintendent know about what and who you have solicited.  We will utilize this information to schedule the donation being utilized.  Please get this information in as soon as possible to best insure that the materials or contractor will be able to work on your home.    Please contact Stephan Eichert at seichert@habitatcharlotte.org or 704-716-7064 with questions.
